WHEN WILL ANTIBIOTICS WORK?

If you haven’t already read: The Slimy Secret to Lyme Disease (1), we strongly suggest you read that before considering Antibiotics for yourself or someone you care about who’s suffering from Lyme disease.

If you think we’re completely against the use of antibiotics, let us clear the air: we are! Simply put, the detrimental effects of antibiotics on the microbiome and the collateral damage inflicted by the use of antibiotics are apparent and will undoubtedly cause consequences to the health of the entire human body. Although commonly believed that the use of probiotics or other gut-restorative supplementation/foods can help in reducing these harmful impacts, these counteractions are futile and recognized to have a negligible beneficial impact on maintaining the health of the microbiome. If you’re interested in learning more about the well-documented research into the harmful effects of antibiotics, we suggest starting with these:

Now, to answer the question at hand. Yes, antibiotics can help in eliminating the forms of bacterial infection commonly referred to as Lyme disease. However, this assumes that antibiotics are engaged within the timeline prior to the formation of biofilms (read more on biofilms HERE). This biofilm formation is known to begin within hours of transmission into the host and is recognized to be in its full form between 7-21 days. (6)

This means that the likelihood of achieving successful implementation of antibiotics for Lyme disease is at its peak in the hours just after infection, diminishing greatly with every day that passes. This poses a significant issue, as most clinicians are unlikely to administer antibiotics immediately and won’t do so without the validation of testing that can often take days to weeks for scheduling and an equally long time to obtain the results.

Fortunately, you can get the same results by taking natural alternatives such as Berberine, Black Walnut, Wormwood, Pau D’arco, and many more! (7)

So, the real question is…why take antibiotics, recognized to be harmful to the body, when so many natural antimicrobials have been proven to achieve the same goal?

We’re stumped, too!
